Reaction Officers have attended to several cases in recent months where prostitutes were involved in robberies. Generally they approach random men and demanded money from them for an alleged encounter that they had.
In nearly all the cases the incidents were fabricated in an attempt to extort money from their victims who in some cases paid money to avoid embarrassment.
In some cases the prostitutes would gang up on a man and rob him of his valuables.
