The total lack of restraint and indiscipline by school pupils is getting alarming. The attendant violence is fightening and out of this world.
According to reports, Two Grade 8 pupils have allegedly stabbed a Grade 10 learner to death outside a school in the south of Johannesburg.
Gauteng Department of Education spokesperson Steve Mabona said that Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is on his way to Forest High School in Turfontein following the incident.
Once he arrived at the scene, Lesufi and the authorities were confronted by the sight of a body just outside of the school building. The two suspects have been confirmed as the younger students, who have since been taken into custody. However, police have not yet confirmed what their exact role was.
Several early reports also indicate that others had been stabbed. Two fellow students were also caught up in the chaos. However, it’s understood that they are now receiving treatment in South Rand Hospital. Booysens Police Captain Lorraine van Emmerik made the following statement:
