The monstrous extremist group has once again unleashed havoc on Nigerians.
The deadly militant group was shooting sporadically and throwing explosive devices at houses, leaving many villagers running into the bushes for safety. Meanwhile, an activist group wants Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari to refocus on the missing Chibok girls.
Buhari promised that his administration would not rest until the remaining Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists in April 2014 were safely reunited with their families.
Boko Haram insurgents yesterday reportedly stormed Jajjal village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, throwing explosive devices on houses and shooting at every person on sight.
A women leader of the Abducted Chibok Girls Parents’ Movement for Rescue, Mrs. Yana Galang, told Daily Trust that there was an attack on a village situated not far from Mbala village.
“Though the township of Chibok is peaceful for now, as I speak to you, they (Boko Haram) are there at Gagamarwa village, making destructions.
“We are not really calm here at Chibok. Everyone around is panic because of the attack that is still taking place on that village,” Galang told said on phone.
Another source at Chibok town said the attackers came some hours before the sunset
Military authorities at the 28 Task Force Brigade in Chibok could not be reached for comment.
