Irate EFF protesters invades and shuts down mall

A protesting group of Economic Freedom Fighters EFF members have shut down Mall of Africa.

The beseiged Mall of Africa has been evacuated and most of the shops have closed their doors after a group of EFF supporters stormed the shopping complex on Friday morning.

The protesters say it is in solidarity with Dischem workers who are striking over wages.

The Dischem workers are demanding a R12,500 minimum wage, salary increases and bonuses.

The retailer posted a 13,3 percent increase in turnover this year.

Dischem employees say the nationwide strike is to prove a point to the group’s management.

  1. The EFF are dragging this country into anarchy. It is part of their strategy and they are being given free reign. Malema promised to make this country ungovernable and he is making good on that promise. Sad to say, but the only real opposition he seems to have is Afriforum. They have caused him to change lawyers. Potential employers are seeking less labour intensive solutions because of persecution by unions and the likes of the EFF. The action that they are taking is more to score political and popularity points than it is to uplift the poor. They don’t care about the long term consequences of their actions.
