Malema breaks silence: ‘Grandmother told me not to go back to the ANC’

A teary EFF leader Julius Malema says his grandmother told him not to return to the ANC.

Malema was speaking at her funeral service in Polokwane.

Koko Sarah, as she was affectionately known, died last week in her home in Seshego and was laid to rest on Saturday.

Malema said he will never go back to the ANC.

The former ANC Youth League leader says it’s something his grandmother advised him on.

Messages of condolences are still pouring in from South Africans across the country.

Later on Saturday, the EFF is expected to be at the IEC Results Operation Centre in Pretoria for the official announcement of the election results.
