A (SHOP OWNER) was stabbed to death yesterday in Pietermaritzburg, KZN.
Violence has flared sporadically in parts of South Africa against a background of high unemployment, with foreigners being accused of taking jobs from citizens and getting involved in crime.

A number of shops i are owned by nationals of other nations including Somalis and Ethiopians, and also Pakistani and Bangladeshis. In recent years, Zimbabwean and Mozambican migrants have also been the target of attacks.
The incident yesterday was reportedly at foreign-owned shop.
Eye witness at the scene of the attack, stated that the rate at which criminals kill so easily is quite pathetic.
